Miracle of the Swine

Located on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, the original mosaic of Jesus’s Miracle of the Swine can be found in the remains of a Byzantine monastery in the site of Kursi. Jesus’ first Miracle is said to have happened in Kursi-Gergesa.

In the New Testament, both Matthew and Luke, who lived by the shores of the Sea of Galilee, mention the dove. ” When Christ comes up from the water of his baptism, the Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove, comes down upon Him and remains with Him.”
